Pressure and temperature sensing in a 6.9Fr distal tip—without sacrificing the working channel.
Jul 22,2026
At Diagsensor Medical, we have developed a compact sensing solution that integrates both pressure and temperature monitoring within a 6.9Fr ureteroscope distal tip.
Importantly, the design still maintains a 1.2 mm working channel, supporting compatibility with most commonly used ureteroscopic instruments, including laser fibers, guidewires and stone retrieval devices.
During flexible ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy, irrigation, suction and laser energy can rapidly change conditions inside the kidney.
Our solution is designed to provide:
• Real-time intrarenal pressure monitoring
• Real-time temperature monitoring near the treatment area
• Compact 6.9Fr distal-tip profile
• 1.2 mm working channel
• Compatibility with most commonly used ureteroscopic instruments
• Individual pressure sensor calibration
• Digital or analog signal output
• Integration support for single-use ureteroscopes
• Prototype development and volume manufacturing
The goal is not simply to add more sensors.
It is to enable pressure and temperature monitoring while preserving the functionality clinicians expect from a standard ureteroscope.
We believe the next generation of ureteroscopy will combine visualization, sensing, irrigation and suction control in one intelligent platform.
We are currently looking to collaborate with ureteroscope manufacturers, stone management companies, laser system developers and fluid-management platform providers.
